DULUTH, Minn. - The good streak of the UMD women's hockey plan has officially ended. As the Bulldogs dropped two games to the top of the Minnesota standings over the weekend.
Now UMD is shifting their focus to St. Cloud State, a team they haven't lost a game for in the last ten conferences.
However, the Huskies pulled off a big win, defeating the Gophers 4-1 in Andover on Monday.
Head coach Maura Crowell says SCSU's win will keep her team on their toes this weekend.
“Yes, I am looking forward to another beautiful series. I think the final result on Monday is good for us. I think it keeps us honest. We can talk about the robust stretch of six sports. But we should always keep doing that. A few bigger challenges ahead take place in St. Cloud and enjoy on the big sheet. The new trainer adds a new style of play. All kinds of things that I think are good for our group, just to keep us on task and not taking our foot off the gas,” Crowell said.
